One Drop Foundation celebrates World Water Day (March 22) with a piece of the children’s minds about water. I giggle watching them tackle these seriously tough questions: What is water’s purpose? Where does water come from? How can we help those who don’t have water? How could you celebrate World Water Day? What we find complicated are actually very simple ‘in the eyes of a child.’
What a great way to campaign for water crisis awareness! Nothing beats hearing some honest truths that come ‘from the mouths of babes.’ Such a refreshing lack of pretense. I invite you then to tap on your child-like spirits and share your thoughts and/or experiences on any of the following, in the comment box below:
- having had no water to drink, cook or use for daily necessities
- available water source but having no means or access is difficult
- any wasteful use of water you’ve witnessed
- your own effort to save/conserve water, or make it accessible for others
Together, let’s celebrate water, today and every day!
