Natasha: In Memoriam

Natasha Jane Redgrave Richardson was one great artist during her time. Born in London, England, she belongs to a theatrical and film acting dynasty. She started her career in England’s regional theater in 1983, and eventually performed in London’s West End and in Broadway, New York. In 1984, she made a debut in American and British television, and in 1986 portrayed as Mary Shelley in her first film, Gothic. She has starred opposite big British and Hollywood names as Ralph Fiennes, Collin Firth, Dennis Quaid, Jennifer Lopez and Jodi Foster. Her performances in film and theater have both received notable acclaim.

Here’s a gallery of some of her movies. Parent Trap with Lindsay Lohan is my all-time favorite.

It was unimaginable that a ski trip to Quebec would be the last winter outing she’ll have with her family. One fatal accident took away the life of then 45-year-old Natasha. Her untimely death was an utter shock to family, friends and fans.

Today, four years after that tragic demise, I pay tribute to Natasha and celebrate her life as an artist. This video is dedicated to her husband, Liam Neeson; sons, Micheal and Daniel; mother, Vanessa Redgrave; sister, Joely Richardson; and to all the fans. May her soul find rest in The Eternal Home.

"The beauty of the truth is that it need not be proclaimed or believed. It skips from soul to soul, changing form each time it touches, but it is what it is."— Mark Helprin
